Man arrested for vandalising ATM in Bhaktapur

Kathmandu, August 31 Police arrested a man for vandalising an ATM machine of Nabil Bank located in Kamalbinayak of Bhaktapur , on Thursday. The arrested has been identified as 24-year-old Purna Bahadur Khasu, hailing from Babai rural municipality ward no 2 of Dang. He was arrested by the Metropolitan Police Circle Jagati team around 3:30 am today. DSP Basanta Pathak, spokesperson for Bhaktapur Police, informed that they also recovered one hammer, one iron rod and one hacksaw from his possession. The number one ODI team in the world, Pakistan, humbled Nepal in what was Nepal’s biggest test in international cricket. Winning the toss, Pakistan chose to bat first on a hot day in Multal. Rahul Mahara arrested in connection with gold smuggling case using vape

Kathmandu, August 30 Rahul Mahara, the son of the vice-chairman of the Maoist Center, Krishna Bahadur Mahara , has been arrested for investigation in the case of gold smuggling using electronic cigarettes (vape). Superintendent of Police (SP) Nawaraj Adhikari informed that Rahul was taken into custody by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the police on Wednesday afternoon. The CIB’s investigation revealed that Rahul was in frequent telephone contact with Dawa, a Chinese businessman, who was involved in the gold smuggling case using vape, last year. But the District Government Attorney ‘s office did not prosecute him in that case. Despite evidence suggesting that Maoist vice-chairman Krishna Bahadur and his son Rahul had ongoing telephone exchanges with individuals involved in smuggling, there was public outcry regarding the lack of an investigation into their actions. Dry landslide in Palpa claims 3 lives, injures 8

Palpa, August 30 In an accident caused by a dry landslide in Jorte, Palpa, three people were killed on Wednesday. The deceased were identified as Yama Bahadur Bohra, Man Kala Chudara, and Ret Bhujel. Their bodies have not been recovered, said police.  The incident occurred earlier today when a Scorpio (Lu 1 Ja 4600), en route from Tamghas of Gulmi to Butwal, met with an accident after a dry landslide of stones fell near the vehicle.  The spokesperson of the Palpa District Police Office Birendra Thapa revealed that eight individuals sustained injuries in the tragic accident. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital. A rescue operation is being conducted with joint efforts from the locals and police. The meeting of the secretaries held on August 29 has decided not to allow the software to be developed randomly, concluding that unnecessary expenses are being incurred while developing the software under various pretexts. The secretary meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Baikunth Aryal has also decided to remove unused software. Representational sketch Biratnagar, August 29 A tipper hit has killed a person in Urlabari municipality in Morang. The deceased has been identified as Dr Niraj Yadav of Saptari. Yadav was hit by a tipper (Province 3-001 Ka 0095) when on his motorbike (Province 1-02-052 Pa 4249) near Om Sai Petrol Pump in Urlabari. Paudel, on Monday, appointed Sudhir Bhattarai as the Ambassador of Nepal to France, Tej Bahadur Chhetri as the Ambassador of Nepal to the United Arab Emirates and Ghanshyam Lamsal as the Ambassador of Nepal to Kuwait.
