Stakeholders express concerns over mobility challenges of Nepali women

Photo: Digo Bikas Institute Kathmandu, March 13 Stakeholders have expressed concerns over mobility challenges that Nepali women are facing in their daily life. During an interaction held about women, mobility and climate in Kathmandu on Saturday, the stakeholders said women face unique challenges and barriers to accessing safe and sustainable modes of transportation, such as inadequate infrastructure, safety concerns, and cultural norms that restrict their mobility . They hence stressed improving women’s access to transportation can have significant positive impacts on their health, education, economic opportunities, and overall well-being.
