Number of foreign workers in Nepal on the decline

In eight months of the ongoing fiscal year 2022/23, 741 foreigners have obtained work permits in Nepal. In the same time frame, 795 people have renewed their work permits. In the fiscal year 2021/22, the number of foreigners obtaining work permits was 950. In 2020/21, the number of foreigners who obtained the permit was 1,090 while in 2019/20, 1,608 people took work permits.
