Applications called for Miss Nepal 2023

Kathmandu, February 2

The Hidden Treasure has announced the call for applications for the latest edition of its annual beauty pageant, Miss Nepal 2023.

The applications can be submitted until March 15 and the final event will be held on May 27. The minimum height criteria for this year is 5’3” whereas the age limit is 18-27 years.

Regional auditions will be held by March 15, one in each province. The venues for the auditions will be Itahari (Province 1), Birgunj (Madhesh), Kathmandu (Bagmati), Pokhara (Gandaki), Nepalgunj (Lumbini), Surkhet (Karnali) and Dhangadhi (Sudurpaschim). The exact dates will be announced later.

The title winner, first and second runners-up of the event will represent Nepal in the Miss World, Miss Earth and Miss International events respectively to be held in the next months of the year.

Priyanka Rani Joshi won the Miss Nepal title last year.

EVs steal the show at NADA Auto Show 2023

The auto expo, which started on Monday, has a wide range of electric vehicles with around 60 per cent of its stall being taken up by EVs. Brands including BYD , MG , Neta and Wuling have only exhibited electric vehicles. Some importers have given preference to electric vehicles over the company’s petrol/diesel vehicles. Tata , Hyundai , Kia , Great Wall Motors , Nissan and other brands have put both petroleum and electric vehicles on display.
