Pokhara plane crash: Preliminary probe points at feathered propellers
Kathmandu, February 7
A five-member team formed by the government to investigate the Pokhara plane crash in Nepal on January 15, 2023, has hinted at technical problems as the cause of the crash, saying the propellers of the engine were found feathered.
Saying a detailed investigation is still ongoing to find out technical and human factors behind the deadly crash that killed all 72 people on board, the investigation commission says the analysis of flight data and cockpit voice data has been over.
The data recorders from the black box of the aircraft were sent to the Transport Safety Investigation Bureau in Singapore for analysis, informs the commission.
The feathered propellers mean they were not at the appropriate angle required for the flight and safe landing.
It is not still clear how long the commission will take to complete the investigation into the Pokhara plane crash and submit the report.
