Baglung man arrested on the charge of killing 2-year-old daughter

Balewa, March 2

Police in the Baglung district of Gandaki have arrested a 20-year-old man on the charge of murdering a two-year-old child.

Sayar Din, a resident of Sarkuwa in the Jaimini municipality-4 of the district, allegedly injured Aarisa recently when there was no one home and she succumbed to head injuries after a while, according to DSP Ganga Bahadur Thapa of the District Police Office.

Thapa says Sayar has already confessed to the infanticide.

He was absconding following the incident, but the investigators found him hiding within the neighbourhood, it has been learned. The investigation was launched following a complaint from the police.

The infant’s body has been kept at the Dhaulagiri Hospital in Baglung for postmortem. Further investigation is underway.

EVs steal the show at NADA Auto Show 2023
