Nabil launches lifetime free credit card

Kathmandu, April 25

Nabil Bank has launched a lifetime free credit card for the first time in Nepal.

The new credit card is designed to provide cardholders with a host of benefits, without any annual fees or hidden charges like joining fees and renewal fees.

According to the bank, customers can enjoy the convenience of making purchases, paying bills, and withdrawing cash, all without worrying about any fees or charges with this card.

“We are excited to launch our lifetime free credit card, which is designed to provide our customers with an unmatched experience,” said Chandani Shrestha, Head-Retail Lending Unit. “We believe that everyone should have access to credit, and with our new card, we are making it easier and more affordable than ever,” she added.

The lifetime free credit card is available to new and existing account holders of Nabil Bank.

To apply for the card, customers can visit the’s website or contact any of the 256 branches across the country. According to the bank, this offer is valid for a limited period only.

Govt to classify taxis into 3 categories

File photo The government is set to classify taxis available for domestic services into three categories. According to the draft of the Standards for Vehicles Used as Taxis, 2023 issued by the Departm e nt of Transport Management , the taxis will be classified as ordinary, deluxe and luxury based on their characteristics like size, accommodation capacity and available facilities. The Department has sought public submissions on the draft via its email or Facebook page by June 19. Ordinary taxies should be a minimum of 800 ccs or more. If it is an electric taxi, the minimum power-to-weight ratio should be 0.012. Such taxis should have a sound system for entertainment with speakers fitted in the front and rear. Deluxe taxis should be a minimum of 1,200 cc or more. If it is an electric taxi, the minimum power-to-weight ratio is set at 0.019. 1 murdered in Kathmandu during Indra Jatra celebrations

Image for representation only Kathmandu, October 3 A teenager, observing Indra Jatra , has been murdered on Monday. Police said 17-year-old Shani Karki of Okhaldhunga was stabbed with a sharp object. SP Kumud Dhungel said Karki was stabbed in the chest. “He died during treatment,” said Dhungle. The reason for the attack is unknown but police have arrested two people on suspicion. An investigation is ongoing.
