Road accidents kill 6 in Baitadi, 4 in Sindhuli

Kathmandu, April 12

Ten persons died in two road accidents in the Baitadi district of Sudurpaschim and the Sindhuli district of Bagmati on Tuesday night.

Six persons from the same village died in an SUV accident in Patan municipality-8 of Baitadi at around 11:25 pm yesterday.

The vehicle (Se 1 Ja 764) fell off the road at Jhaulek, killing six on the spot, informs police inspector Yogesh Khatri.

Five people saved themselves by jumping off the vehicle whereas the driver is on the run.

In another case, an Indian car (BR 06 DD 0687) fell off the road at Gadhigate, Kamalamai municipality-3 of the Sindhuli district along the BP Highway, killing four men.

DSP Chiranjeevi Dahal of the District Police Office says three persons died on the spot whereas the fourth person succumbed to injuries during treatment at the Sindhuli District Hospital.

Meanwhile, another injured person has been sent to the Dhulikhel Hospital in the neighbouring Kavre district for further treatment.

EVs steal the show at NADA Auto Show 2023
