Bajhang, May 22

A person, who was collecting yarsagumba, a high-value fungus used for medicinal purposes, died in an avalanche at Dhanshera of Surma rural municipality-2 in Bajhang district on Sunday.

The identity of the dead one is not ascertained as yet.

According to Assistant Chief District Officer Satya Kumari Joshi, two persons are missing while two others have sustained injuries in the avalanche.

Joshi adds that a team of police personnel from the Nepal Police and Armed Police Force has moved to the site.

Earlier this month, at least four persons died in a similar incident in the Darchula district of Sudurpaschim.

PM Dahal inducts 3 Nepali Congress leaders as ministers

As per a notice issued by the President’s Office, Dhana Raj Gurung, Mohan Bahadur Basnet and Dig Bahadur Limbu have been appointed to lead the Ministry of Law, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Youth respectively. The expansion on Wednesday still leaves the Council of Ministers incomplete as Dahal still leads the Ministry of Water Supply and the Ministry of Environment.
