A man drowned in Dobhan Khola in Tinau rural municipality of Palpa on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Lok Prasad Rijal, 34, from Buwtan sub-metropolitan city.

According to DSP Birendra Thapa, information officer at District Police Office, Palpa, Rijal there with friends on a picnic. He had gone swimming in the river. He was found unconscious some 100 metres ahead of where he was seen swimming.

He was rushed to Lumbini Zonal Hospital where he breathed his last.

EVs steal the show at NADA Auto Show 2023

The auto expo, which started on Monday, has a wide range of electric vehicles with around 60 per cent of its stall being taken up by EVs. Brands including BYD , MG , Neta and Wuling have only exhibited electric vehicles. Some importers have given preference to electric vehicles over the company’s petrol/diesel vehicles.
