Pedestrian dead in Surkhet

Surkhet, June 28

A pedestrian has died after getting hit by a motorbike in Birendranagar municipality in Surkhet.

The deceased has been identified as 50-year-old Tika Sunar.

Sunar was critically injured when the bike (Karnali Province 02-001 Pa 4791), which was going from Ghantaghar to Shankarchowk, hit him.

He was rushed to Karnali Zonal Hospital where he breathed his last.

The motorbike rider has been arrested.

EVs steal the show at NADA Auto Show 2023

The auto expo, which started on Monday, has a wide range of electric vehicles with around 60 per cent of its stall being taken up by EVs. Brands including BYD , MG , Neta and Wuling have only exhibited electric vehicles. Some importers have given preference to electric vehicles over the company’s petrol/diesel vehicles. Tata , Hyundai , Kia , Great Wall Motors , Nissan and other brands have put both petroleum and electric vehicles on display.
