Over 4,000 dengue patients across the country

Kathmandu, July 26

At least 4,289 dengue cases have been reported across the country.

According to the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division, the number has nearly doubled over the past week. According to EDCD, the number of dengue patients on July 15 was 2,930.

According to data, the highest number of dengue cases has been reported in Koshi province which currently has 2,754 cases followed by 776 in Bagmati province, 344 in Gandaki province, 316 in Sudurpaschim province, 166 in Lumbini province, 22 in Madhes province, and 20 in Karnali province.

Ten districts have been hit hard by the disease. The affected districts are Sunsari, Dhading, Kaski, Darchula, Kathmandu, Sankhuwasabha, Myagdi, Kanchanpur, Rupandehi, and Morang where 3,671 people have been infected with the disease.

EDCD said the risk of dengue will be prevalent until September.
