Biratnagar, September 5

An elderly citizen has died after getting hit by a National Academy College bus at the chief minister’s residence in Biratnagar.

The deceased has been identified as 62-year-old Ganesh Shrestha of Rangeli municipality.

Shrestha was rushed to the hospital and breathed his last during treatment informed DSP Ranjan Kumar Dahal.

Police have arrested the bus driver Dal Bahadur Karki, 56.

EVs steal the show at NADA Auto Show 2023

The auto expo, which started on Monday, has a wide range of electric vehicles with around 60 per cent of its stall being taken up by EVs. Brands including BYD , MG , Neta and Wuling have only exhibited electric vehicles. Some importers have given preference to electric vehicles over the company’s petrol/diesel vehicles. Tata , Hyundai , Kia , Great Wall Motors , Nissan and other brands have put both petroleum and electric vehicles on display. Brands like Toyota , Mitsubishi , Renault , Jeep , Honda , Volkswagen , Skoda , Isuzu , Subaru , Peugeot , Mazda , and BMW , which are selling only petrol and diesel vehicles, have not participated in this year’s NADA Auto Show 2023.
