Durga Prasai supporters clash with UML Youth Wing in Balkhu

Kathmandu, November 23

The situation in the Balkhu area is tense after a tussle broke out against UML’s youth wing and supporters of Durga Prasai.

Prasai’s supporters started throwing bricks at the youth wing’s motorbike rally causing turmoil in the area.

The motorbike rally was reportedly on its was to Tinkune from Kalanki.

Buildings and shops around Balkhu have suffered damage from the bricks, and several bikes and vehicles have also suffered damage.

Presently, security personnel have taken control of the situation in the area. Additional security forces have been deployed to the area to reinforce stability and ensure the safety of the surroundings.

Traffic in the area is completely at a halt due to the protest.

EVs steal the show at NADA Auto Show 2023

The auto expo, which started on Monday, has a wide range of electric vehicles with around 60 per cent of its stall being taken up by EVs. Brands including BYD , MG , Neta and Wuling have only exhibited electric vehicles. Some importers have given preference to electric vehicles over the company’s petrol/diesel vehicles. Tata , Hyundai , Kia , Great Wall Motors , Nissan and other brands have put both petroleum and electric vehicles on display.
