Iih to stand in front of Lalitpur City office for 108 hours

Lalitpur, December 11

Activist Iih has announced he will stand in front of Lalitpur Metropolitan City for 108 hours in protest of the city banning street vendors on the Mangalbajar-Lagankhel road.

Iih stood outside the Kathmandu Metropolitan City office for 199 hours demanding accountability from the city for its inhumane treatment of street vendors in the city.

He said he will start his stand-in-protest from 3 pm on Wednesday.

He has also asked the metropolis to reconsider the decision to ban street vendors on the road section during mornings and evenings.

EVs steal the show at NADA Auto Show 2023

The auto expo, which started on Monday, has a wide range of electric vehicles with around 60 per cent of its stall being taken up by EVs. Brands including BYD , MG , Neta and Wuling have only exhibited electric vehicles. Some importers have given preference to electric vehicles over the company’s petrol/diesel vehicles. Tata , Hyundai , Kia , Great Wall Motors , Nissan and other brands have put both petroleum and electric vehicles on display.
